If you are interested in becoming a Foster or Adoptive Family, the
first step is to attend one of our Orientations.
A Better Way now offers Orientations in THREE locations, Hayward,
Berkeley and San Jose. The next Orientations are as follows:
MARCH:
Berkeley: 3/13 6:30 to 8:30
San Jose: 3/20 6:30
to 8:30
APRIL:
San Jose: 4/10 6:30 to 8:30
Hayward: 4/17 6:30 to
8:30
MAY:
Hayward: 5/1
6:30 to 8:30
Berkeley: 5/22 6:30
to 8:30
If you are interested in attending one of our upcoming Orientations, please call Valerie at 510.247.1500 ext. 301 to reserve a space.
After the Orientation, if you are interested in going forward, the next step will be a one on one meeting with a Social Worker to start our screening process. If you both decide that A Better Way is a good fit and you would like to continue the process of becoming a Foster or Adoptive Family, you will then attend a PRIDE training. We offer several PRIDE trainings per year in all three locations. Your Social Worker will let you know the dates of our next PRIDE training and sign you up.
