Community Education Collaborative

Since 2010, A Better Way’s Community Education Collaborative has provided over fourteen thousand trainings, free of cost, to social services communities and families. Content is designed with the individual needs of children, youth, and families involved in child welfare and juvenile justice systems in mind. Education is provided across Alameda, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, and Solano Counties. Live, instructor-led trainings are available virtually, and in person. Continuing Education Credit is available for select offerings.

  • Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Certification

Priority registration is reserved for our primary intended audience: caregivers and professionals who are, or plan to be, involved in the lives of court dependent children, youth, and families. View upcoming educational opportunities here. Contact us to have a training sponsored and facilitated exclusively for your agency, or group of six or more people. Curriculum can be adapted to fit the needs of your specific group or organization.

​Courses that are co-sponsored with Chabot Los Positas Community College District and Alameda County / Solano County Child Welfare Services are funded by Federal Title IV-E funding. Title IV-E trainings are intended for providers, families, and community members that support the lives of children and families who are involved in child welfare and juvenile justice systems.
